What's funny is most of the gender wars are between c00ns and bedwenches. Its like they hate being black or anything associated with black men or women yet they stay talking about them. i dont agree whatsoever with what msw said in the thread about mike brown, but i will say that overall the misogyny, black misogyny runs wild on here sometimes. instead of always attacking the women for what they say, we should listen to their perspective and not always dismiss or disregard their perspective. Just because you listen, doesnt mean you agree. But just listening is affording her the same respect that you give your fellow man.

I want this board to be different. Just like we speak out against the injustices black men encounter, let us be just as vocal in supporting issues around black women. Our sisters are getting locked up just as fast as we are, and are subject to the same racism we are. cant a brother grow? yes, i have been misogynistic in my past. i will not deny that. yet, since i have been reading the works of angela davis, bell hooks, audre lorde, patricia hill collins and others, i have realized my participation is misogynist activities. i apologize and i stand behind my sisters in support of their movement against misogyny and patriarchy.

Can i be honest? I dont believe men can be feminists. Feminism is a movement FOR women BY women that advocates for their liberation from systems of sexism.
