People Really Really underrate Longevity. Smh

Who started out hotter than Rakim, BDK, 50, DMX, DOC

Big Pun second album was nowhere near the first . If anybody told you in 98 DMX run will be a short one, you would have thought you seen your first Alien.

Assuming Biggie would have simply kept the flame going is a HUGE ASSUMPTION

I can't give you Goat title off 2 albums. I'm sorry

We gotta judge on results not potential
Hence why Nas remains in the pole position. With Jay close behind
Facts.

I think when people put Big in the mix it’s just solely based on skillset…and potential of course. I can’t put him on my TBE list because they took him too early, he was only alive for 1 album…but just looking at the trajectory he was on, I think it’s fair to say he would have kept improving, which is scary considering LAD might be the best rap album ever.

I got PAC on my TBE list because even tho they took him young, he put in so much work and left so much behind it’s like he had a 10-15 year career.

96-97 Jayz is another off the charts raw talent, sometimes I think he was at the top…then I revisit some Prime Nas surreal rapping shhit and be like nahh, Nas easy. Then I bump into a Biggie radio freestyle…etc. All 3 deserve all the reverence they get (You know I agree with you tho, lol, prime Esco the one)
What years would you say were prime Nas and prime Tupac?

My problem with people saying big was the best is his volume of work and how long of a career he had before he was killed. Would he have been able to stay consistant for 10 years? Idk.

But I'm not going to argue with anyone about it. It's their opinion to have.

My favorite Esco was around IWW, 95-97…all the features, little mixtape freestyles, etc… every verse was some show-stealing shhit for real. Nas got more jaw dropping, memorable verses in 1995-1996 alone than most greats have in a career.

My favorite Pac was “All Eyez On Me” Pac, that’s more just a preference thing tho.

fortunate for me, I already had a full collection of tapes, cds, and vinyl prior to September 1994. Anyone who missed out on the years prior to that I feel sorry for them..

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
u got any examples ?
First off, remember what I said... RHYME PATTERNS

So a consistent rhyme would be to have the rhyming words at the end... But as long as the PATTERN repeats, it's a constant pattern no matter if 1 word rhymes or 18... The pattern needs to be consistent..........

Now look at the patterns of where he rhymes the words in each line.. Every 4-6 bars, it's a completely new PATTERN. Most rappers stick to the same pattern throughout a verse and even sometimes a song. Newer rappers are switching flows (rhyme patterns) more often...

But Biggie consistently switched them shyts up like every 4 bars. Method Man does this also. Probably why he's the only featured rapper on the album. That's why Clark Kent would say biggie is the better RAPPER but not lyricist of Jay-Z. Jay don't do this typically. He's a 1 pattern per song type of rapper
