IMO it can’t be handled. America has been uniquely positioned through years of decaying infrastructure, bureaucracy, hoarding wealth, service economy, wage gap to be absolutely smacked by a raging pandemic and that is what’s happening. Plus we have 35 to 40% of the population politicizing public health and making it about their “freedom.” If everyone stays home, the government goes broke or punts responsibility and people starve. I’m at the beach right now and the Spanish breh next to me is literally talking about not paying his phone bill so he can make rent. Only thing you can do is protect ya neck, just like every other aspect of life in America.

Very good and very realistic. I appreciate the honest assessment. I also liked how you acknowledged America's decaying system and institutions instead of pretending they would magically improve and become concerned with the average citizen to churn out some amazing Coronavirus response.

Let me ask you all an honest question; how do you feel this can be realistically handled? And by realistic I mean with measures you can actually see occurring in THIS America, not one with actual competent leadership without Capitalism squeezing the life out of it.

And not just in regards to the WWE. America in general. How should we handle COVID?

Nothing can be done. It’s the inevitable. shyt just now an NBA player tested positive as well.

This REALLY puts Vince in a hardspot, as he is demanded by FOX to continue to produce content or face fines. Yet Florida, Arizona and Texas are going over the cliff. Do you just move everything to Stamford on the roof of the WWE HQ now?

This is just the start of the Corona Hurricane in the state, so its impossible now to make stuff.

I wonder if they hid this from talent until it got out from press release or dirt sheets like they did the other incident this month

Americans are giving out death threats because of face mask use. There’s nothing that can be done for this country filled with so many stupid idiots. :snoop:

For enlightened people, just watch out for yourselves and your fam. Do what you gotta do, but limit interaction with strangers if you can.

That’s pretty much where I’m at. I got to work, stay in my office for 90% of the day, come home, go to the beach and that’s it. But I live in Florida so I just assume everyone is carrying.

Okay, I'm just making sure some of us are on the same page here.

I'm seeing a lot of criticism regarding COVID responses and measures but no reasonable solutions or alternatives. People still believe that waiting out the virus using lockdowns is viable when that requires the cooperation and leadership of the Trump Administration and the Senate GOP to fund the people and economy for an extended period of time.

After all that has happened people still do not understand the country and society in which they live. To stop COVID in America people are going to have to make some long term sacrifices they aren't ready for.

I'll say it again. How can anyone actually support the WWE at this point?

Breh...on some real what does having to support said company have to do with anything in this situation? Blame the fukking state not them. This shyt is happening in AEW as well but are you willing to give them gripe for this?

How about the NBA? Players are being reported to have gotten the Rona yet they are planning on restarting.

Aew talent have to have gotten a few positive tests too at this rate

Perhaps, perhaps not. They seemed to have an actual plan of action in place as far as testing and so on.

Let me ask you all an honest question; how do you feel this can be realistically handled? And by realistic I mean with measures you can actually see occurring in THIS America, not one with actual competent leadership without Capitalism squeezing the life out of it.

Measures I could actually see happening? None.

Either leadership is going to have to make some hard/zero tolerance type choices and be willing to stand on that, or people in the country have to be willing to actually move with selflessness (this approach helped a couple nations overseas I believe, I think Switzerland was one).

I'd honestly bet on the former happening before the latter, but neither's realistically going to happen.

All I can really do is protect myself and limit myself to truly essential outings in public.
