I don't know much about him as a person but I have always thought it was shady and unfair af for him to essentially lose his entire career because of the dumbass tone deaf angle the WWE came up with (let's be real, having an Italian portray an Arab and in the most offensive, stereotypical way possible was a bad idea off jump).

The fact that dude made it work as well as it did is a testament to how talented he was. If he's ready to get back in the ring I feel like WWE at least owes dude a try out or place in developmental to see if he's still got it. It's the absolute least they could do considering he was their fall guy.

His gimmick worked when he was the guy calling out xenophobia because he was as American raised as the rest, but not embraced because his lineage came from an eastern country, but then when they made him more stereotypical it took away what was clever and I knew it would ultimately venture into tasteless territory as it did
