@Pool_Shark You might be on to something. With Rap Genius picking up steam with that investment and this, the cogs in the machine may be turning for that takeover.

Yeah I look at what's happening with the influx of white rappers, white labels, all white fanbases and I wonder is this how it happened with rock. I don't even think it's a conscious choice anyone is making I just think it's something that's been happening since the beginning. I remember they failed at taking rnb but that was because the demand wasn't high enough.

I forget who on here said it but it was something like, years later when the only rappers getting exposure are the white, the time where things changed is going to be looked at as the time when hip-hop was saved.

It could be hip-hop xenophobia but what else are you supposed to think when the same thing happens over and over. I know white people have been involved in hip-hop from the beginning but come on your lying if you don't see a difference from today to then. I'm not trying to be racist but I hate how sub-par rappers get by because of the novelty of their skin color.

Word. I think they stripped the funk and soul outta r&b to the point where its just singing over hiphop. When Ray J and Trey Songz are called rappers...you know somethins up. When a fat, british white chick is touted as the queen of soul...somethins up. Adele can blow though.Lol History shows us, we create it, nurture it, they distribute it, get rich off it, water it down, we abandon it, create another genre and the cycle repeats. Dont think the same cant happen to hiphop

As long as nikkas keep supporting horrible music and falling for marketing ploys and gimmicks, shyt will get worse and push the art form into obscurity/extinction.

Club shyt is running the airwaves, and its all about who can make a 'hit' or 'anthem'

Its fukking disco all over again.

They finna show Ross,2 chainz, Wayne, and Like Future and say they starting a hip-hop initiative :heh:

Country music will never die because the fans support their artists. And a large majority of the artists respect the music. I haven't heard Lionel's joint but I'm sure the music is genuine.
