I don’t notice any difference he’s kept the same energy on this subject. I don’t agree with some of his other views but I respect him for standing on his shyt instead of folding cuz he lost a gig at CNN.
I don’t know how to really prove this without speaking about this in person and I dont hav the energy to type out…but I think he’s actually antisemitic in the classical sense. Once you factor in his history with the black nationalist NOI and Malachi York networks and a bunch of the elementary arguments he uses and perverting a bunch of social justice language and intersectional pseudo-marxist language (not on some anti-woke shyt but actual liberation theology flavored rhetoric) and trying to push this as a “black” issue…I can’t really put my finger on why he annoys me so much.
Plus...
what the fukk is this?
In 2015 this dude was doing from “Ferguson to Palestine” … WHAT? I mean…look I get the sense of linked fate and solidarity but anyone trying to make these sorts of leaps instead of just standing on individual issues kinda raises red flags to me. Its something visceral in me.
…and again…I believe palestinians deserve some sort of state, even if its not the deal or terms they want...
This shyt is CRINGEWORTHY
Theres this thread running through black progressive politics of “anti colonial radical politics”…it’s the same shyt that wants black Americans to defend Castro/Cuba or Venezuela or Putin or Communist China etc. It’s this rampant contrarian America-bad rhetoric that ends up having people defend dictators and theocrats in the developing/third world/global south. We see this in the defense of Russia invading Ukraine or defending Africans allowing non-western Neo-colonialism just to own the libs.
SOUNDS faker than these two (no matter how righteous their cause is and how much I agree with them)
PERFORMATIVELY…and stylistically I just can NOT rock with some of this shyt…
