I'm talking about the marketing.

Like how the spiderman movies showed people the likes of Iron Man, Nick Fury, Doctor Strange and Mysterio were going to be in the movies with big roles which would offset someone being put off by the classroom aspect of the movie thinking it's purely aimed at kids.

The marketing is going to be different for the TV shows fam. None of the shows have had huge telegraphed cameos in the marketing.

Hawkeye for example had two big cameos that you wouldn't have known about unless you came across some leaks. And being that you have a pretty big slate of TV shows it's going to be a good thing to touch as many demographics as you can, espeically if it's going toward creating an entire generation of new fans.

As much as Marvel movies are supposed to be for kids, a lot of them aren't lol. My kids know about the characters, they got some of the toys but aren't able to sit through a most of the movies. Wandavision and Ms. Marvel would be some of the first projects they might remember somewhere down the line if they continue being into it.

You keep throwing Mystero in there like he's a big draw and not just the villan of the movie.

Also this is the first trailer, they need to introduce the main character instead of starting with cameos.

When did the marketing for Far From Home present Mysterio as a villain?

He was presented as the main supporting character of the movie along with Nick Fury was he not?

Well first impressions count and this trailer has got people thinking this is some lighthearted kid/classroom tv show :manny:.

Breh I never said there was a problem with marvel making shows for other demographics, I even said this show aint for me and it's fine. I was simply responding to someone who tried to say this and Spiderman are the same as in teenage/high school stories but people have a problem with this one, as if the Tom Holland movies didn't make it a point to show you that adult characters like Iron Man, Mysterio, Nick Fury and Doctor Strange were also in the movies with major roles. Which means even though there's a high school element a person who does not really like that would be more tolerant and still check it out.

That was for the in movie twist but you still couldn't just not have the main villan in the marketing at all.

It probably is lighthearted and based on a kid's perspective/experience. That doesn't mean it can't be great.

This is a very disappointing trailer
I thought I would be able to watch this with my kids
And in the first few seconds she of the trailer shows her coming of age and going crazy over boys
Now I can't with this with my kids

You know hollywood keeps pushing girl power, but those girls all have obsessions over boys.
Fukk dat shyt!

So they got the lightest Indian girl they could find and Kamala doesn't stretch anymore. :unimpressed:
:mjlol:
I knew they find lightest skinned indian possible. like casting drake everytime you need a black guy in a movie.:heh:

Wait, y'all bytching about colorism yet don't realize that Pakistan and India are two different places? :dwillhuh:

Pakistan is north of India, they typically look like the lightest skinned Indians do. Expecting a Pakistani to look like a dark-skinned Indian is like expecting most Egyptians to look like a dark-skinned Sudanese.

These are typical Pakistani crowd shots:

Darker-skinned Pakistanis definitely exist but light-skinned Pakistanis are more normal, especially the ones who are originally from Pakistan as opposed to Indian transplants and especially if they ain't villagers living out in the sun all day.

I’m pretty sure the posters were just calling anyone from that area Indian. Hollywood usually just cast anyone from that area with Indians since I don’t think I’ve ever heard Urdu spoken in a major film.

The character is Pakistani origin and the actress playing her is Pakistani origin.

The creator and head writer of the series is Pakistani origin.

The directors are of Pakistani, Indian, and Moroccan origin.

The main character being a Muslim of Pakistani origin is completely critical to the film being made, so yeah, they were gonna get it right.

The circular thinking of the excuse you're giving them doesn't make sense. So if they cast a dark-skinned Indian who clearly wasn't from Pakistan, would that have been culturally better or worse according to those critics? I'm not someone who has a giant hangup with actor origins (I wouldn't care if they had cast a north indian girl to play her), but complaining that they were accurate in matching actor origin to the character is an entire new level of whininess.
