That right there was what the machine was about... He's trying to pick people out of the alternate universes and bring them back... That's why he keeps telling people he'll bring people back and/or bring them back/see them again.. Not because he's going to go back in time. But he's going to bring them to now

I believe the "alternate" worlds are virtual, though.

I think people are more curious about if the show will go full sci-fi as opposed to what the machine does. Because if the machine actually does that....yeah.

I seriously doubt that'll happen though. White Rose and the Dark Army only need to think it's possible.

White Rose keeps mentioning a "Project" that he's working on. Part of it is some kind of giant machine that he had installed under a nuclear power plant in New Jersey. This season he's loaded the machine on a cargo ship and he's shipping it to Africa.

White Rose also convinced Angela that he could somehow bring back her dead mother, so the assumption is that if there is any truth to this at all, its connected to his project somehow.
