The ending completely fukked my head up last night. Lay in bed for hours like
trying to figure it out.
The Elliot persona as we know him was only manifested a month before the show began - Angela says as much during the heroin trip in Season 1, so there's a whole history we can't even access.
The more I've thought about it, as wacky as it sounds it has to be Leon, right?
@TheGreatShowtime I wasn't ready for the vision
He's shown himself to be completely fine with the level of violence that it would take to deal with Vera. Also - Elliot showed us that he could change what we saw with the whole prison illusion in Season 2. Could he have changed what we saw when he went to find Trenton and Mobley?
He would have been sent Trenton's deadman switch e-mail, either way, since it was meant to go out automatically in the event of her death.
Then there's this.
Why/how is Leon narrating shyt he wasn't even around for?
Esmail himself is a reasonable guess, as he's been in all the seasons and he tortured Elliot last week with the heroin, kinda like Mr. Robot did in prison when he force fed Elliot cement. The only thing I don't like about Esmail being 'The Other One' is that we would have to learn a whole new personality's motives and do their whole arc in the next 11 episodes.
The viewer being the third personality is
, because I feel like we'd know more - especially what happened between the hack and Elliot waking up in the SUV.
My outside bets are Angela or Krista.
