The feel of this episode also kind of reminded me of The Leftovers episode "International Assassin".

This episode dropped a bomb without warning. No one was prepared for THIS tonight. That's for sure.

Mr. Robot isn't his dad though.

He is what Elliot always wished his dad was i.e. an idealized image.

Bruh.

That was just The atmosphere, the setting, that fukking twist. Everything just crazy.

Thinking back to the heroin dream from Season 1, The final part was Elliot in a dark room and you could hear the sound of children's voices. That could have been a foreshadowing to the revelation they just gave us.

Mr. Robot saying he couldn't protect Elliot anymore if he heard the truth is , because any positive image or memory that Elliot based Mr. Robot on would have been destroyed.

This season is just an ever escalating staircase of madness. I don't even know how we get crazier than that. but I'm pretty sure it's coming.
