Movies that you thought were classic but you realize were actually corny and trash in retrospect

just got done watching New Jack City....it's not a classic.

corny ass script
corny ass generic subplots everywhere (like the whole black cop - white cop partner who hate each other at first then finally become friends)
poorly acted for the most part
over the top unrealistic scenes when the movie is trying to be serious and realistic as possible
overt political commentary that is done in a corny way
etc

Niccas that movie is near 30 years old. Script writing has changed. NJC is a classic and funny as hell. If any film is overrated it's Menace 2 Society. That's one of the most pointless films I've ever seen.

Any Stallone movie outside of the first two rockys and first Rambo

There will be blood is not an easy repeat watch, but still a classic
