I thought Rush was an incredible movie. should have gotten best picture and best actor nom for Daniel Bruhl

In Bruges got a screenwriting Oscar nom, but nothing else. it's a top 10 movie for me. I fukkin love it

Rush was a great fukken movie. Yeah Bruhl killed it. He really deserved more attention for that role. He was competing against Jared Leto that year.

i liked in bruges too but i can understand why it didnt get a lot of love. i think its whole aesthetic is an acquired taste or something you either will like or wont. like i would understand if a lot of people @track 1 'd it because its whole feel is something that you are either down with or arent

I'm not sure if Gone Baby Gone is better than Mystic River (I would probably say yes) but Prisoners is better than both of them. Either way, I like those gritty ass dramas about real shyt that can happen to you or your family or someone you love. It's a scary ass world.

Malcolm X. Denzel should have got his Oscar for that, and Spike even had an argument for a Best Director nomination that year.

From that year, Chaplin as well.

Edward Scissorhands is a beautiful movie. It takes you through the entire emotional spectrum. It's a shame it doesn't get more love

The Hudsucker Proxy is my shyt.

It has a clear good versus evil plot line with a main character who isn't some kind of weirdo or degenerate. Both rare for a Coen brothers film. Don't get me wrong the Coen brothers cool, though. I just thought this film was far more inspirational and life affirming than a lot of their others.
