Jurassic was 1993...thought it was 92 for the longest time. Everyone wanted to see that shyt. Auntie took me and my cousins to see that in theater.
I think it’s because the hype train left the station summer of 92 since everyone knew the special effects where something no one had ever seen before, shyt delivered too
I think what made it great was the soundtrack, that and the evil ass dikk head coach

I was 14 in 92 so I vividly remember all these when they came out. Most of us teenagers in my church were a tight knit group up until around that exact point. One of the best memories was us all going to see Malcolm X on Thanksgiving night that year.
Luckily once it hit vhs our schools made us watch it in history classes. They probably don’t watch that movie anymore though
