This makes no damn sense. If anything, Nolan is the exact fukking opposite.
He tries to make his movies hyper-intellectual and subtle when most of the time they're not worthy of anything beyond the spectacle and surface emotion (not saying this as an insult.) I can't think of a single film of his that is trying to be "cool" or slick.
