Watched this film once and could never bring myself to watch it again. The fact that it's a true story makes it that much more powerful.

In the end when he gives up because he feels as if he has no one left due to his doctor and friend dying, and just lays back and suffocates to death with the voice of his mother consoling him? Had me :damn: as a kid.

The scene with Joseph Gordon-Levitt sitting on the hospital bed, talking to his mother right before going into surgery.
