They dropped the ball on marketing this. I remember having no interest in this film. Caught like 7 minutes on HBO one night and watched it every time it was on for the next 3 months.

Terrible marketing. John Carter is the godfather of superheroes and they were not pushing that angle.

the originator of the Sci Fi genre.

Disney bungled this badly.

Learned about this shyt in college. Carter birth Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, all dat shyt that came after. Comics and superheroes etc.
