Wesley Snipes - Blade Tragedy (Trinity) - Producers, Studio, Director/Writer wanted him to be the fall guy since the movie bombed. He was doing similar things on the first 2 movies behind the scenes, but it wasn't problem since those movies were successful. Now he's blackballed. Even Sly tried to help him out with Expendables 3 and you saw how that came out, with the boot leg version hitting the market before the actual movie came out. Pretty much sabotaged Snipes getting a chance to have a good come back.
nah i honestly don't think it was the movies he made... think it was the tax evasion and the fact that he went to prison for a few years and basically dropped off the face of the planet

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World bombing was pretty much the end for Michael Cera as a leading man.
not that i think Cera could have went on to a huge career, but this is criminal. that movie is so goddamn unappreciated. Edgar Wright stays missing opportunities to be one of our most popular directors. dude is legendary and average joe has never heard of him

Blade Tragedy came out in 12/8/2004. He didn't get with the tax evasion stuff until like 4 years later. Snipes sued New Line due to his issues with Blade Trinity and them owing him money. That's when he pretty much got blackball because he went against the Hollywood system. So major studios were weary to work with him after that. The studio didn't want him for Brooklyn Finest due to his tax evasion case was pending but the director Antoine Fuqua said that's the only person he wanted for the part so the studio caved in.
