signed up for Newsgroups a few months back, got 1.1 TB for $50... well fukkin worth it

I use NZB Matrix to find stuff, and I always find exactly what I want; it also downloads WAY quicker than filehosts or torrents... I downloaded Season 1 of Game of Thrones in 720p HD yesterday in like an hour; that shyt would have taken damn near all day had I downloaded from a filehost

That is impressive, I won't lie. It wouldn't of taken me all day.
In fact, as a tester.. let me see how fast it says once I put that in my que...
(Ok, 720p = 14.53gb or AAC 720p = 4.07gb.. times for the 14.5gb are at 21yrs)

I'll update it once it gets more seeds... EDIT: Ok, now its down to 4weeks!

Ok, its now down to just over an hour. I'm going to delete this now.
Basically, it would take me between 1hr to 1hr & 30min for Game of thrones to download in 720p regular, but it gave me the nice option of the AAC version which is also 720p. That 4gb version should take me what, 15min maybe? Possibly 20min?

yea my Game of Thrones Season 1 download was 16 GB... I also have slow ass internet though, so you gotta take that into consideration

Newsgroups are certainly faster than torrents though, that can't be disputed... Newsgroups allow you to download things at the very max speeds that your internet allows, I don't believe torrents do the same

the one downside of newsgroups is though, at least for me and my slow ass internet, whenever I'm downloading a file on there, it seems like it's taking up all my damn internet because everything else is a little bit slower (buffering youtube vids, etc.)

You can put a max speed limit on it if you need to.

Right now Netflix works fine for me because I mostly watch tv series. It amazes me that some of you that do watch a lot of movies refuse to spend $100 for a years worth of media.

Cheap b*stards.

I have Netflix bruh...and a cable subscription with pretty much every channel. But sometimes I just wanna watch something exactly when I want, not wait for netflix/on demand to put it up.

I feel the same way. I was speaking more to those that want to watch films instantly and often but refuse to use newsgroups. It seems like a good deal to me.

I'm with Comcast and apparently since July 1st. They on that spy shyt :leon:

Would newsgroups hide what I'm downloading? Breaking Bad is around the corner and I just don't feel safe with torrents anymore. I ain't trying to see those DMCA warnings. :beli:
