Exactly the question that I asked, yet you had people complaining about it.

It’s like they’ve never heard of the term co-leads in movie and TV production. Just doesn’t you are #1 on the billing doesn’t mean that you aren’t a lead.
Exactly…. Having Meryl Streep (for example) as a co lead damn sure doesn’t diminish her billing, same for Jack…. their reasoning for being cast is for the hope they might actually steal the show, or at least firmly support it…..

And Tom and Demi weren’t outdone…. Just a great cast goin to work imo

Dru Down in Original Gangstas:russ:
Most "out of left field" reply.....but a good one.

He really did outshine everyone else.

"Maybe I should play for the BULLZ, huh, Mr. BOOKman"

I think of anyone that isn't the lead.

This is the poster for Untouchables:
UntouchablesThe.jpg

Connery is the fifth listed actor

But if we are going off this depiction, Regina Hall from The Best Man. Bronson Pinchot and Damon Wayans in Beverly Hills Cop.

I know untouchables because my stage name was:

Elliot ness

So from specific study at the time.
I know the fulm pretty well.
Along with dune.

Daman wayans in bvc cause he was black balled around then allegedly.

Best man is one of those movies i have too jumbled.
with the list of other urban flicks around that time

That offbrand dude lakeith stansfield in that black horror film.

This is a good thread cause you have to think about it.

Definitely not lesser billed….:patrice:

well what do you mean by lesser billed exactly:jbhmm:

There's always a billing order. The first name listed on the marquee is the Top-Billed. Actors have argued about being top billed, even if they're actual on screen time was minimal, or share screen time. You can do whatever you want with the editing or in promotional material, as long as their names appear first. Most of the A-List actors don't pay attention to the promotional material or trailers, so they wouldn't even know how the film was promoted, but they only care about that Top Billing. It's all about ego. Marlon Brando got top billing for Superman...Gene Hackman got 2nd lead.

Even in movies with co-leads, there is someone who receives top billing. That's just the way it is. But it's rare for you to be a lead in any capacity, but have your name in the smaller font.

An example of that is the recent Aladdin film when Will Smith got top billing over the actor who played Aladdin, who was technically the lead actor in the film.
