Garland was the only creator and McMillan knew that. They did a lot of trapping, started switching, giving him different looks on defense.

Lack of actual plays is what did it though. PnR was minimal for some reason when you got Love/Lauri/Mobley/Allen. Hawks would switch, and they wouldn't even try to run another PnR, just accept the matchup for some reason when Nate started putting athletic bigs on the switch.

when levert started second guessing if he wanted to drive on huerter and trae, it was all on him at that point. when you're the scoring 2 and can't take advantage of the easier matchups on the perimeter that's a personal problem

he had no flow in the game cause Garland was chucking so he was second guessing himself

they just don’t play well together cause they both were in score/iso mode

Garland is the #1 guy so Lavert is kinda unsure of his role at times in my opinion
