who is the law expert or at least knowledgeable person about law here again ? @BarNone I believe ?
But im like 90% sure its illegal to ask for donations for 1 thing, then use it for another thing especially a physical gift to yourself..
example; you cant ask for donations for a funeral then buy a car with the money raised..
@BarNone can you shed light on this ? if churches offered to pay for the funeral then what were the specifics of the gofundme? something seems off
edit: also $17k aint enough to move to different neighborhoods now ? How old are some of yall ? '
Apartment wise:
Deposits are $300-1000 in CALIFORNIA depending on your credit (some places have 0 deposits if your credit is great) and may at most require 1st and last month rent. Even in bay area - the most expensive place to live IN THE COUNTRY she'd have 2 months + deposit paid for $3500 or so.. not even close to $17k..
House wise:
$17k is a nice down payment on a $200-300k house some banks dont even require a down payment for first time home buyers or some may require 3.5% down at most. Some even waive closing costs just to get it done
and this is CALIFORNIA. Illinois aint NO where as expensive as california
I dont know what world yall live in where $17k aint moving money but I forget this the coli where everyone makes 6 digits easy and thats what they putting down on they mansions
