This is partially on the mother for pushing letting her call him daddy, which forced a bond, then allowing this man to stay alone in a home with her when she’s not there. Single moms are so quick to find a replacement father figure, and don’t think about the damage it can cause.

That looks badly scripted. Like if you're writing a story and don't bother to personalise the characters.

Death the only answer
Let me remind you of the execution of Damiens who tried to kill our king now deceased.
Remember how Damiens died? How gentle the guilotine is when compared to his torture. It lasted for hours while the crowd ogled.
His arm, chest calves and thighs were slit open. Molten lead was poured into each slit. Burning tar. Then they harnessed him to 4 horses and had them pull!
They pulled at him for an hour or so but he wouldn’t come apart until they sawed through his shoulders and hips.
And at the end he just hung there. A bloody torso just groaning and staring at the crucifix which the Father Confessor was holding up.
