Its also something that worked when men had money to provide for their family. Now a days, there aren't as many men with money to provide for even themselves. The marriage statistics prove that marriage is failing at highrates. A woman marrying a flabby and sick older man does not ensure a successful marriage. There is more to a successful marriage than making sure you marry at young 20 year old woman with no body count.
