Because he didn't, was never reported, Maybach Music didn't get no 50 million. Roc-A-Fella at its peak didn't even get 50 million.
Ok so if one 'assumes that hes exaggerating' doesn't that fall under the 'WE DONT BELIEVE YOU RAP LINES of 2012'
Because that is how he is making it sound to sound cool? Walk in Def Jam Building like 'IM THE shyt' tell em gimmie 50 million or imma quit? Forcing someones hand over some money is pretty much extortion.
But he didn't and again, he isn't going to so the fact I cited this line for 'we dont believe you' fits perfectly.
You didn't not pull of the facts of the deals and hit us with what you heard. Maybach music getting 10+ million was a rumor.
1. 2001 when records were still selling? And again, did you fail to realize they were buying out her catalog? Shes one of the most successful women in the history of music.
2. Jay-z has more #1 albums than the Beatles and it was a 360 deal including touring, a few albums, and whatever else they tossed in. Jay-z commands more money than Kanye West does.
3. So? He didn't get anywhere near 50 million for his and Maybach Music is out there just as much as GOOD Music is at this point.
I never claimed to be smart. I just claimed that you didn't know what you were fully talking about.
Again you thinking Jay-z = Cash Money = Mariah Carey = Good Music. They had different deals, structured different ways, in different eras of music, and sold much different than each other.
Except he didn't sign for 3 million. He even said so himself. You are failing to realize that rappers lie ALL THE TIME.
Can you stop with this George Bush math? Everything isn't black and white. They are not making 10 bucks per cd because you are failing to factor in overhead and costs associated with the publishing and distribution of the product.
You think they signed every artist at GOOD to a 360 deal just so you can say its possible that Kanye got 50 million?
Im the only one acting like I know shyt but you are trying to break down numbers, doing the math over 7 years, trying to factor in inflation.
I didn't say something like inflation is smart, I said you were trying to act smart and you overlooked the most important part.....record labels arent selling product like they use to so a 30 million dollar deal in the 90s with or without inflation means NADA.
You said he was the head dood in charge. He is one of 7 upper management people that direct people at Barclays. If you want to continue to think because Jay-z tells the waiting staff how to prep the luxury boxes for the game means he pulls up to his own arena, there is nothing more to say.
The arena isnt his, no matter how hard you are trying to paint it. How old are you really?
Really?

He was never a director of MSG. Jay-z consistenly sells out MSG, one of the few who can do it, he 'owns' it in that sense. Just like when you are busting people on a basketball court you are 'owning them'
His line about pulling up into his own arena, is not the same, or in the same context. You are making yourself look REALLY bad right now. Bow out. Im not even trying to get at you. You are just upset because I don't believe 2 lines from Kanye West and Jayz.
