Then they try to tie in at the end of the episodes a "bigger arc" like its 1997 x files in this bytch :russ:

They bout to do the same shyt on NBC again with this trash lookin show:

http://www.nbc.com/state-of-affairs

Hope they dont ask why shows keep getting cancelled with this wack shyt :mjlol:

nikkas already talked about how they almost fukked up Hannibal the same way. nikkas had a different serial killer every week for the 4 episodes i saw :lolshaq:

Does anyone know if they did the same shyt with Agent of Shield?

Meanwhile the GOAT shows are serialized: Sopranos, Breaking Bad, The Wire, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk. :whew:

:wtf: TV Critics give this past season RAVE reviews.

Its an out dated shytty format. If a show uses it its instant skip status to me.

:childplease: No it's not! As long we continue to have network dramas with 22-24 episodes a season, than it's not a problem. If the Broadcast Networks all decide their serial dramas will be 8-13 episodes a season like Cable/Netflix dramas, than it'll be outdated

22-24 episodes with 16 episodes of filler.

No thanks.

Its a shytty format and is inexcusable in 2014.

Let's be honest, State of Affairs is getting canceled, but it won't be because it's not serialized. :mjpls:

:comeon: It's much more even between the number of Standalone episodes & episodes that focus on the season's main storyline. And the shows that do it well have good standalone episodes. "Arrow" & "Supernatural" are 2 examples of current shows that I watch that fit that.

There's very few shows in history that are completely serialized over 20+ eps.

There's very few shows in history that are COMPLETELY serialized, period. The Sopranos and Mad Men have a ton episodes that are self-contained short-stories.for example.

you do know hannibal is serial right??

it's based on a series of books, and the entire show will follow it from start to finish. they had serial killers of the week, because the job of the entire cast of characters is catching serial killers... and the one they are looking for, is kinda right there with them.. so not only do they have the best detective on the case, but the best head shrink is pushing him towards bodies, most of which are the ones he did the killing and blamed on someone else

yes.. i've been watching since the start.. usually twice a week cause it's my fav show right now

first episode they hunt down phillip jacob hobbs.. the original serial killer... from then on, will is fukked up cause he had to kill someone... plus he's trying to figure out if abigail was part of the killings or not... hannibal was there when he did it, and was abigail's new shrink, and will's shrink...

all the killers or kills following that, were based on will and abby's feelings towards the first murder... then hannibal........

"kills" abigail, frames will for it.. which is only believed because will's been going crazy catching these other killers... who are actually hannibal the whole time...

but even that is serial cause we later find out he never even killed her... and was planning on running away with will and her... but kills her in front of will for his betrayal

and that's exactly why i fukk with it... everything connects from ep 1 to the last one that aired

I watch Hannibal but it will be canceled before its conclusion.
