Yikes at Cole not being on that list

Meh. He's got nearly 40mil monthly listeners on Spotify. To me all this tells me is that the last album was a failure, due to the diss fiasco. He just needs to drop the Fall Off and change the narrative.

Then again given what happened, the album title is looking like a potential trap lol.

The last project was great. For Cole not to be mentioned after dropping a few months ago isn’t a good look for him. I’m wondering what his next steps will look like

XXXTENTACION - had he not die and had his head on straight, I think he had the potential to be a megastar due to how many different genre he was good at.
I mean, he was only really good at spoken word, scream rap, boom bap, and the emo singing shyt. Everything else was a miss :manny:

Think he could've shined with a writer and composer to help him flesh out his songs and give them more of a direction

Shame he died so young cause he was raw talent but it aint really much to revisit past a few songs

What’s funny is how everyone says that hip hop is a young people’s sport yet majority of the people dominating the genre has been in it for many years..

Eminem is over 50, Kanye is going to be 50 soon and in a few years Drake and Kendrick will be 40.. very interesting..

I wonder what this chart will look like 10 years from now because not many new rappers making an impact

This younger folks ain’t got the juice like that and never will. The ones that had the potential for major star quality were Juice World and Pop Smoke, both dead for different reasons, but even that’s being generous. Do we really think Destroy Lonely, Lil Tecca, Tommy Richman, and Ice Spice are gonna stand the test of time?? :mjlol: :mjlol:

It's weirdly close to the NBA. LeBron,KD,Steph all late in their careers and no American seem to be up there. Edwards is starting to stand up but really that's a very large generation gap, I wonder how come it happend both in hiphop and in basketball
