Rick Ross was actually a ghostwriter.

Yeah I saw some call him an industry plant on here once. He was grinding for years ghostwriting for Trina for example trying to get on and only got the Hustlin beat because everyone else passed on it.

He always sounded like himself, he just refined his approach and made better creative decisions. But you listen to the second verse on Push It for example, that's vintage Ross bars right there on the debut album

I think about ghostwriting when people think rappers just automatically get better at rapping from their first album to their second. Like Rick Ross. I won’t say he don’t write st all, but I’m pretty sure he got a bunch of help over the years.. especially from Wale and Meek and them.
