They really dead ass got AJ Styles and KO going to war over a secondary title to give Jinder this nonsensical reign

Out of the reigns I witnessed, this is the most :snoop:

Russo and Vince are industry pioneers

Arquette was a movie star experiment to try to boost ratings. They even had him not pin the world champ so he doesn't look bad in the process

This Jinder shyt tho :snoop:

The AJ KO feud was boring because they were fighting over the wrong title

I like Jinder too, had an interview with Y2J and seem like a good dude and maybe even an eventual reign woulda been aight. But to boost this nikka from jobber to world champ got the real main event scene suffering.

Coulda gave him the US title and called it a day.

I had no intention of adding him because there is no logic that makes him less valid than arquette, risso, or hhh (two werent wrestlers, and two were gifted titles) but i know people will want to say him so i added it

Arquette and Russo are no brainers so I don't even count them. 2000 WCW was so much fukkery that nothing they did should be considered canon :mjlol: I don't even really remember being surprised back then cause the product was so shytty.

I voted Garvin simply because later he would be jobber status in WWF can't believe he won that title at a house show no less when Flair was on fire. Which also brings me to

Honorable Mention: Diesel beating Backlund in 8 seconds at a MSG house show soon after winning it from Bret. It wasn't a why but a wtf, in 8 seconds. I remember reading The Slammer in the Daily News the morning after it happened

:ohhh:

:blessed:

We gotta see video of this tell me there's video of this

:jawalrus:

i always thought that was bullshyt...backlund had legs and momentum as a mentally deranged out of touch champion...he didnt deserve to lose the belt so quick

Arquette. I didn't like the two Vinces winning either, but at least they were in the business and not a D-list actor promoting a movie.

I feel like it doesn't get more :dahell: than a non-wrestler winning a world title, so Arquette or Russo and it ain't close.

backlund was instant turn the dial status.
back in an analog tv era. That entire run of wrasslin to scsa was horrible. Real talk, wwf from mania III sucked till Austin.

Arquette is the most obvious answer here.

As far as non-Arquette, I'm going to put out there HHH literally being handed a championship belt without having to lift a finger. WWE could have had a tournament for the belt and keep things exciting, instead they just handed to HHH which launched his World Burial Tour/Reign of Terror, which started off IIRC with Katie Vick.

I see a lot of people replying with David Arquette, but how is Cokeboy winning the god damn Royal Rumble & putting the title on himself that much better? I never understood how wrestling fans conveniently overlook that.

Cokeboy/Arquette/Russo all winning the championship are cringeworthy to me.

It's Russo.

The Arquette one was bad, but I get it. At that point they were trying to get any kind of publicity and he was a celebrity (not A list or anything) and maybe they thought this could get something to the mainstream to cover. Second worst was Vince. To me that was just Vince feeding his own ego. I think he always wanted to wrestle, but his dad wouldn't let him so this was just his way of saying I could've been the best if I did this from the start.

The Russo one made the least sense because this was after the Arquette reign which everyone panned. So at that point Russo should've known that fans don't want non-wrestlers holding the belt. But nope, he genuinely thought this was a good idea because you know it's all fake and all. So it's really more of a ":dahell: are you doing?!" but it's number one to me.

EXACTLY.

Whats worse was he won the title by entering himself in a cage match wearing football pads and a helmet and was speared out of the cage thru the wall....so he won? Abhorrent.
