• 9/25/87 - Ron Garvin defeats ric flair in a detroit house show for nwa world title. Flair had the belt for 412 days before, and 452 days after...garvin had the belt for 62 days
• 9/23/94 - bob backlund wins wwf title from bret hart when his sister throws in the towel
• 8/29/95 - On his debut the giant defeats hulk hogan with help with dungeon of doom. He holds the belt for eight days.
• 9/4/99 - vince mcmahon wins wwf title on smackdown by beating triple H with shane as ref. 6 day reign.
• 1/16/00 - chris benoit wins wcw title after sid defeated Vacant. He dropped the belt by showing up on wwf tv shortly after, and the belt eventually went back to sid. 1 day reign.
• 4/25/00 - David arquette pins eric bischoff to win wcw title which belonged to ddp in a tag team match. Wcw champion for 12 days, a longer reign than the previous two, and the next SIX wcw title reigns.
• 9/25/00 - vince russo wins wcw title by running thru a steel cage wall by getting speared and concussing himself
• 9/2/02 - HHH is handed wwe world heavyweight title upon inception by eric bischoff.
• 7/17/07 - the great khali wins 20 man battle royal to win wwe whc from vacant
• 3/30/10 - jack swagger cashes in mitb to become whc
• 2/15/11 - dolph ziggler holds wwe world heavyweight title for about an hour after being awarded title by vicki guererro
• 5/21/17 - jinder mahal wins WWE Title after defeating randy orton, upon first title shot ever.

I had no intention of adding him because there is no logic that makes him less valid than arquette, risso, or hhh (two werent wrestlers, and two were gifted titles) but i know people will want to say him so i added it

I voted Garvin as well. That booking decision along with Dusty spending helped to kill Crockett off. Plus I can't count Vince and Arquette because they were non-wrestlers who got their reigns to pop a rating and create buzz.

IMO Arquette is the worst and Russo is second and it's not even close. Vince probably shouldn't have had the title either given its prestige at the time but he's not as egregious as those two.

Jinder is a trash champion but I can't say he's worse than those three.
