It's not really biting, more homage, but I always like when Nas gets into his Biggie bag with the flow, he's done it several other times besides on here.

Like I said, I never heard a full project from them and my knowledge on the actual music they put out doesn't extend too far past their videos and singles, so I could be way off, but based on what I've seen Run and DMC seem to be style hoppers.

I have a lot of takes that seem to leave ppl puzzled or angry, and I'm not trying to diminish the place these guys have as legends or whatever but a lot of ppls favorites are just not for me.

Run DMC, Tribe, Beastie Boys and a few other legendary acts I just got no use for. Never sat down to listen to a full project from any of them and what I've heard I did not enjoy.

Edit : I probably have heard most of Beats, Rhymes, Life (not in one sitting) and can say I found a lot of the songs tolerable to even enjoyable, but all that misplaced wallet bonita applebaum "classics" I got no use for.

Oh yeah, I always hated De La Soul too.

So here's the thing...

In not knowing much about something, don't you find it kinda strange to have such a stance/opinion on it without having enough knowledge on it in the first place? I'm not saying you have to know or listen to their entire catalogue or anything of that nature, but their influence is way greater than what you're describing as "style hopping" or whatever the case. Yeah, they tried to stay relevant to what was going on in the mid-90s but it only makes sense- it woulda been weirder to expect them to be out there in that era still doing stuff they were doing 10 years prior.

Rod Wave is mundane. He has a great voice, but thats about it. And Morray is actually Rod Waves predecessor.
