Breh, I've rode cross country through Texas. One of the worst parts of my trips to California (besides California itself).

It would take over 24 hours to get through Texas.

You'd have to be driving pretty slowly. If you can do about 875 miles you can get across Texas east to west in about 12 hours or so. I've driven that far in a truck before in about 14 or 15 hours so I know it can be done in a car.
