I think socialism and amnesty for illegal immigrants will solve this issue
glad you finally saw the light :blessed:
The illusion of financial freedom is fastly eroding. There's a day coming soon where people wont be able to afford all the things they dont need. And thats the day they'll riot, but too late.....
Nah government will suppress any violent rebellions immediately. People literally train for this...
people being lazy is the biggest myth. people like being productive. productivity has gone up. we just don't train and guide our labor force into meaningful jobs (which should start in adolescence) or promote small business job creation and innovation. the one percent have been grinning ear to ear for the longest time now.
Well said :obama:

Access to easy credit over the last decade fooled people into thinking they were middle class when they really weren't. I believe this was done on purpose to cover up things like outsourcing and the huge income inequality between the rich and everyone else.

Great point. Making people believe they are in the middle-upper class is a great trick, and credit is a great way to keep people under control.

For how I see it, in Europe it's mostly the states who have been living above their means, in the US it's mostly the people.

This is very true. Most of the people I come across are pulling no more than 40K per year on their own..if they are married they MIGHT scrape 60K with thier spouse working.

Not just this, I don't think we properly prepared our citizens for the fall of manufacturing. I live in Indiana, 60k is living good here with low cost of living. Back to my point, you had/have all of these people who want to work and work hard at that, but they don't have any equitable skills so they default to the fast food jobs, the Walmart jobs, etc...

Thus the technological transition of jobs. That's why higher education is being pushed forward. The major downside to rapidly advancing technological economies is the displacement workers with time as efficiency improves, and the need for specialized skills.

No simple solution here folks. Time for @DEAD7

Let's do the math breh....

60k before taxes
44k after taxes
44k/12 mos = 3666
Rent/mortgage and any other housing expenses should be 40% or less after tax =
2200
-500 - food
1700
-600 - car note, assuming both work @ 300 each
1100
-300 - car ins.
800
-400 - gas for two cars
400
-400 - health insurance

0 left, and i havent got anything left for clothing, entertainment, kid's expenses, etc let alone savings for retirement, childrens college, etc.
