Folklore

[edit]
Jiangshi are described as having greenish-white skin, possibly deriving from fungus or mould growing on corpses. They have long hair[10] and may behave like animals.[11] They are ferocious, ravenous beings possessing extreme strength, being described as attacking men with "brute force and clumsy violence".[12] It is often represented as being capable of giving chase by running,[13] of dodging, and sometimes by flying - "a jiangshi came from the hills, soaring through the air, to devour the infants of the people".[2]

then peep this scene from God of War Chains of Olympus

hypothetically it would all be Persephone (Shang Tsung), Atlas (Goro) and Kratos (strength) :mjcry:

its the idea of a shapeshifter

and even worse if you peep the backdrops in MK1 it kinda alludes to my theory

as you go deeper into the tournament (nh) you get to Goro's stage where a skeleton is "crucified" and strange creatures you cant see are in the darkness and the only two entities in that level are:

Goro

Shang Tsung

and....

Smoke???? :ohhh:

@Koichos

Keturah (Hebrew: קְטוּרָה, Qəṭūrā, possibly meaning "incense";[1] Arabic: قطورة) was a wife[2] and a concubine[3] of the Biblical patriarch Abraham. According to the Book of Genesis, Abraham married Keturah after the death of his first wife, Sarah. Abraham and Keturah had six sons.[2] According to Jewish tradition, she was a descendant of Noah's son Japheth. (Sumerians story say son of Shem, the priest lineage)[4]

One modern commentator on the Hebrew Bible has called Keturah "the most ignored significant person in the Torah".[5] The medieval Jewish commentator Rashi, and some previous rabbinical commentators, related a traditional belief that Keturah was the same person as Hagar, although this idea cannot be found in the biblical text.[5] However, Hagar was Sarah's Egyptian maidservant.
