Ed and a grip of other devs openly despise Hsu Hao and have gone on record saying he'll never come back iirc. Thats why in the last few games he's been kind of a joke in easter eggs. I think Erron Black had an intro in 11 where he drops a bag and Hsu's head rolls out.
Most of the MK4 and PS2 characters are trash though, its so weird to see ppl stan them. They've basically brought back all the decent ones. Most of the new characters were eith gender swapped old charater remix, or just straight up younger less interesting versions of the old ones. There's like 4 different black dragon members in the franchise and none of them are as interesting as Kano lol.
When that show exposed that DJ Khalid was nothing but a sawft b!tch that runs his mouth & can't handle mild sauce I knew the show would last forever.
