Might depend on his kameo. The character by himself doesn't look that great to me

I see strength in Sareena kameo that rune trap drains meter fast as hell (ambush assist). Imagine being Sub Zero get a hit call out Sareena ex ground freeze do a combo. You can prevent your opponent from ever getting a breaker

I don't see anything special zoning is good what else tho? This game is way to obnoxious to think you gonna win games against anyone decent just being annoying
Johnny's dash should go through projectiles. That would make Rain less effective.

This nikka got two dash cancellable moves. One a normal and one a special, and we're talking real dash cancels those shyts looked fast as hell
Then he has what's basically flight cancels with that thunderstorm move. Another instant recovery mix tool
He can create portals with no recovery. Portals that he can use to run or teleport
Oh and don't forget the fukkin big ass projectile invincible water bubble that HIDES this nikka so you can't even see how he's mixing you
This the most busted character that's been shown so far you can't be serious

nah he's already crazy enough. He moves like he's on ice skating with the dash block mechanic. A good Johnny would Kano knife jump or dash in be right in Rain face instantly (his shadow kick is insanely fast as well). IDK if Rain has the buttons to contend. Rain doesn't look bad at all. I do think for him to work really good might need to be paired with the right kameo. There's characters basically can kill you with 2 combos in a round Cage is one of them. Good zoning by itself not going to save you

Sindel busted too but not more than RainGo look at Sindel again
They put Dr Strange in the game
At least you can fukkin see Sindel committing atrocities to you. Rain can hide everything

Then as you said insane one with mix-up potential at all ranges. Teleports going to make for some great set play, with whirl pools and an armor launcher.
Dude is more like SF5 Dhalsim than a pure zoner. Can advance while putting pressure from distance and retreat while fishing for a rewarding hit with a lot of defensive options that simply aren't "keep away".
That's not even including the assists this guy can start throwing out there when someone is already shut down.
