Y'all think Dems are in trouble?

It could just be people like me that switch to sabotage primaries, or it could be some Independent voters that finally joined a party...I don't think it's necessarily people switching from D to R.

Then again...we also had reported instances of fraudulent registration switches here...

More than 1 million voters across 43 states have switched to the Republican Party over the last year, according to voter registration data analyzed by The Associated Press. The previously unreported number reflects a phenomenon that is playing out in virtually every region of the country — Democratic and Republican states along with cities and small towns — in the period since President Joe Biden replaced former President Donald Trump.

But nowhere is the shift more pronounced — and dangerous for Democrats — than in the suburbs, where well-educated swing voters who turned against Trump’s Republican Party in recent years appear to be swinging back. Over the last year, far more people are switching to the GOP across suburban counties from Denver to Atlanta and Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

Republicans also gained ground in counties around medium-size cities such as Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Raleigh, North Carolina; Augusta, Georgia; and Des Moines, Iowa.

This didn't really need another thread, but obviously Democrats are fukked in 2022 and 2024. :yeshrug:

And it's not surprising that all the dogwhistling about CRT and shyt over the last year or two would get sururban voters to flock back to the GOP.

Or the economy is trash and inflation is through the roof so people want to go back to the Trump years where things were "better"

People aren't switching parties over CRT. People will always blame the economy on the guy in the White House and Biden isn't doing himself any favors on that front.

yeah but let you tell it your precious kind doesn't think like that.

Ben Smith, who lives in suburban Larimer County, Colorado, north of Denver, said he reluctantly registered as a Republican earlier in the year after becoming increasingly concerned about the Democrats' support in some localities for mandatory COVID-19 vaccines, the party's inability to quell violent crime and its frequent focus on racial justice.

I think a lot of people willing to switch parties are kindof open in their voting. Like it won't be a partyline vote...

Crazy how people registering as Republicans do it because the Democrats are focused on racial justice...meanwhile you got people like @ORDER_66 yelling about "both sides" as a Black man.

Dems think Americans are more concerned with abortions than economic insecurity and that is a tragic mistake.

:francis:

Many are. Trump didn't get elected because white voters had "economic anxiety".

The bigger problem is just that regardless of the issue, people on the right are just more motivated to vote.

I think violent crime is a bigger motivator than many in this thread think ...:yeshrug:
Even in true blue Cali(SF no less) republicans are making gains based on local crime.
Just pointing and yelling racist is going to doom the DNC.

:lolbron:Crime Bill Joe might need to resurface for the benefit of the party.

Cap.

S.F. has non-partisan elections so unless you're out there forreal you can't just look up their party.

Which of these seats was recently gained by a Republican?

The idea that we need to elect republicans to deal with crime, has been thrown around and written about locally. :pachaha:
Your reaction is exactly how rethugs make gains.

That said, the super majority dems have in the state isnt in any type of danger.
My point is crime motivates people.
