We need rebounds, rim protection, and to limit turnovers. Mostly rebounds. We were getting killed on the glass man. Hopefully they put Looney in to see how well he can keep up on the glass. He was doing well in the preseason. I swear I hope McGee can be that shot blocker for us. He has all the tools to do so but in the last couple months, I've seen him get dunked on a good 3 times.
We're in "rebuilding" mode as far as big men, but the time to win is NOW. Can't have any loose ends. I don't care too much how this Pelicans game goes other than we win, cause measuring our performance by how we do against them doesn't really tell us anything.
ETA: why is Zaza starting over McGee anyway? He's way less athletic, a lil smaller, not a great passer, not a rim protector, slower, older, etc. Why not put McGee in to stretch his legs and become a reliable shot blocker? Zaza's career stats prove he isn't. Only thing Zaza really has over McGee is ft%. Zaza should come off the bench. McGee has a better upside.
