My dude....Kobe is nearly 9000 points away. He might come close, but it will probably take him another 5 years to break it...which is optimistic.

The only way thats possible If Kobe played every game in the season for 5 straight seasons he could break it,Kobe would be the true GOAT if he can put up 22 points per game at age 38-39. However Kobe doesnt wanna pass Kareem,he wants to pass Mike's career points :scheme:,Definetely will be Top 3 at end of his career.

The scoring record doesn't depend on outside factors like winning awards does.

The media has shown a penchant for giving the award to someone new/different too often. I have a hard time believing they won't start passing the MVP around to Durant and others just so they don't give it to Lebron every year regardless of who really deserves it.

This.

Unless LeBron is just undeniably winning it then I cant see him getting four more.

Most wins that year, 3-0 vs cheat in season. No other allstars, won 15+ more games than previous season

Plus while Bron had one of his typical seasons stat-wise, overall Wade was just as good.

It wasn't like '12 where Wade handed Bron the reigns as the main man.

Teams have had the most wins a lot of seasons and their best player didn't win MVP

No allstars and 15+ more wins, but he was like 1 of 4 guys that returned from the previous. They also had a new coach. Why would he be the main difference maker when it was a whole new team except for him.

Let me ask another question. Why did Lebron win MVP this year?

Thibbs won COY, so he had his due as well. I didn't say he was the main difference maker, but he was the best player on the best team and usually that get's you the nod. I can name years where other players who didn't have the best record should of won MVP. it's one of those things.

Lebron won MVP this year in part because his numbers were outsanding, Wade missed 15 or so games and they went 12-3 or something, and he displayed versatility not seen since magic.

Did you watch Wade this year? He also missed 17 games.
Rose didn't do shyt...
Plus, the playoffs only validated the MVP vote.

The fact thay you need an explanation is kinda embarrassing.

Who had the better numbers between LeBron and Rose, because everything you have here is team accolades not individual

MVP award has ALWAYS been a combinations of team success + individual numbers.

Plus it's hard to compare their numbers when they play different positions and are asked to do different things that pertains to their teams success

Yeah, I think Bron has a chance to do both. But...who knows what Lebron is going to play like when the athleticism starts dropping off in about 2 seasons. Might score less. He should still be able to challenge though.

He numbers were outstanding last year(better than Rose's). He has displayed that versatility his whole career

:what: does Wade have to do with Bron winning MVP. Bron had better numbers than Rose last year playing with a Healthy Wade.

Rose didnt do shyt last year but be a defensive liability and jack up shots at an inefficient rate.

Tell me this would you rather have 2011 Bron or Rose?

Why didnt Parker win MVP this year? He was the best player on the best team and his numbers were not as good as Brons.

If Rose won last year, Parker should have won this year.

The fact that Bron won this year means Rose winning last year is an absolute joke

Rose was the best OFFENSIVE player on the team last year, but that team wasn't winning because of Offense. It won because of defense.

Thats why they were so successful when he was out this year

You think his Blackleticism will wear off? I see him as a freak of nature ala Randy Moss, TO and Prime Time. I don't think it will fall off that much where it's really noticeable. That dude is gifted and blessed by God.
