pretty disproportionate actually.
Given their numbers in the western world, their representation among the nobluarates(spelling) is disproportionate as well. There are too many indian business leaders too.
food for thought.
Are you proud zerozero?
thats okay, people still see us as demasculinized, safe, smelly nerds.
no not really.. doesn't matter either way
why do you feel that way?
it's kinda interesting that indian-american politicans are coming up from the south rather than the coasts
but yeah basically in terms of public entertainer type figures you really need people like Russel Peters, Aziz Ansari, other people who're totally acculturated to american culture to have the edge required for comedy

not sure. Your question was kind of odd right? Do I feel proud? No not really. It just is what it is. I do think there should be adequate and diverse representation of my ethnic background(s) as with everyone else's but that's more political. Nothing personal.
on a deeper level (just speculating) maybe it's because in America I didn't feel sidelined/marginalized etc so it's not redemptive or transformative for me to see the mainstreaming of indian characters.. a lot of us indian folk tend to fit into mainstream america pretty well so we don't need to see each other on MTV, CNN etc that much to feel comfortable. This is just a guess though, I don't really know. Could be just a personal tic as in I don't care about this currently.
