Nothing you said contradicts my point but thanks I guess. lolRepublicans would abolish Medicaid and Medicare if they could, along with other federally funded programs that are beneficial for the elderly, low-income, and those living on fixed incomes, etc.
I'm not sure how y'all keep both sides shyt when it starts to get obvious about the difference of intentions Democrats and Republicans have when it comes to these types of programs.
Democrats might not be completely in lockstep for universal healthcare, but at the same time, they're not trying to abolish it either. The crazy thing is that people in this country tend to go wilfully and stupidly against their best interests or what can potentially be beneficial for them; I'm not sure how anyone can be supportive of abolishing federally funded healthcare with no alternative in sight.
Do y'all not realize what the major ramifications of having no free and adorable healthcare will be on society? The same people who co-sign this shyt will be the ones in the future wishing they had the option when their life is on the line.
Personally, I really don't like calling people dumb when the quality of information is poor. Let's be honest, the entertainment and amusement factor is all people have left. To know a politician's true policy, one would have to know the ideology of their donors and that information isn't available the majority of the time. It’s not an exaggeration, most Americans are stupid and value being entertained or easily amused over being intellectually built up and stimulated.
"I want another stimulus check to help me pay bills and feed my family. Times is hard."
"Oh so you want a supplemental check from the government periodically to make sure you have a certain minimum standard of living right?"
"Yeah that sounds kinda right"
"Oh good so you want universal basic income too then?"
"What?! No i don't want none of that socialist shyt! Just gimme a stimmy!!"
Thank you brehRepublicans would abolish Medicaid and Medicare if they could, along with other federally funded programs that are beneficial for the elderly, low-income, and those living on fixed incomes, etc.

Ugh, these are small time measures not addressing the initial post. People want a government option to private insurance full stop. Saying the Dems and Republicans have been either against or incompetent in delivering despite it being popular isn't some radical idea. It's just facts we are behind most 1st even 2nd world nation in this regard. It's long overdue.Thank you breh
@AnonymityX1000 Stop acting like you don't see the difference in Democrats and Republicans

It really is foolishness. And I don't want to hear anything about racism, because whites in places like Alaska or Wyoming or Montana that live nowhere near black people vote in a similar way in local elections. You literally have places where the population is 99% white voting against Medicaid expansion and voting to slash their own school budgets. Folks that barely make enough to not qualify for food stamps, supporting tax cuts.
And of course this ignores minorities voting for a party that calls them garbage to their face.
I know I'm rambling now, but I swear, some days I question if democracy is good idea when so much of the electorate is civically illiterate and uneducated. This last American election reminds of the time the British willingly voted to raise their own prices and cut export markets during brexit. Or when the Brazilians(a nation of poor people ) elected bolsanaro who actively worked against poor people.
