Yeah, because I compared the popularity of those two shows right?
But if you want to, you can compare their Rotten Tomatoes scores (both critic and audience) and get back to me
Turns out that Disney+ Wasn't A Netflix Killer After All
Disney+ Isn’t The Netflix Killer Everybody Expected
Disney+ may not be the Netflix killer everyone thought it would be
Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu or Disney Plus: which streaming service is winning 2020 so far? | TechRadar
Was Netflix Impacted By The Massive Launch of Disney Plus?
Forget all that, what did The Mandalorian do to hurt Netflix when it came out?
Absolutely nothing. Rational people tried telling y'all that adults still existed and that adults watch more than Star Wars, Marvel, and cartoons. The same people hyped over the new Narcos or Ozark seasons weren't about to throw Netflix in the bushes because there was a baby version of a Star Wars character.
If you wanted to do an actual.legit comparison, how about telling me what random Disney+ documentary took the world by storm like Tiger King has. Did Free Solo take the innanets by storm?
Netflix has a history of randomly dropping shyt that becomes talked about immediately. Making a Murderer did it, the Aaron Hernandez doc did it, the Fyrefest doc did it, Love is Blind just did it, etc. The fact that you're over here saying it'd be a wrap if Disney+ dropped all their Star Wars and Marvel shows at the same time shows how limited they are in their variety of programming.
Let's forget that no streaming service or tv network ever puts all of their big shows out at the same time; if Disney+ had launched with all those shows available day 1, they'd be in the same predicament they are in now: there's nothing to watch on there if you're someone who went through puberty over a decade ago. Not to mention Netflix has adult themed animation that's doing well, Beastars and Castlevania being just two of the most recent examples. You think Star Wars and Marvel is enough to crush a service that's produced a ton of successful and varied original programming for years? I think it speaks to how limited Disney+ offerings are.
It says a lot that a show about cat breeding is being so obsessively talked about. Let me know when Disney+ can randomly drop something that's not Marvel and Star Wars that gets them computers 'putin, breh
One last tidbit: The Mandalorian ended Stranger Things run as the top streaming show:
'The Mandalorian' dethroned 'Stranger Things' as the top streaming TV show in the US, breaking its 5-month streak
Mind you, Stranger Things was on top for 21 weeks and didn't release its episodes weekly. Meanwhile, with The Mandalorian not even over yet, this happened:
Netflix's 'The Witcher' dethroned 'The Mandalorian' as the biggest TV series in the world
