Authorities Wednesday publicly identified a 57-year-old man found dead this week at a makeshift encampment in Oceanside.
A passer-by found the body of Kody Scott in a tent in an open area near the San Luis Rey River Trail about 12:30 p.m. Monday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Scott was a former member of the Los Angeles gang the Eight Tray Gangster Crips, according to his Wikipedia page.
He claimed to have reformed in prison, joined the Republic of New Afrika movement, changed his name to Sanyika Shakur, befriended rapper Tupac Shakur and wrote a 1993 memoir called “Monster: The Autobiography of an L.A. Gang Member.”
A ruling on Scott’s cause of death was on hold pending completion of postmortem examinations.

Eight Tre looking almost as bad as the 60"s. That shyt wild, he helped make them feared and infamous only to die like a bum.
I guess he couldn't capitalize off his name like Big U. His Monster name was bigger than Big U's because of his book and interviews. I don't see how he got so indoctrinated at such an early age.
