Of course it's a thing, but that's for proven stars that have a long history of drawing big money. Monique hasn't proven shyt to make that kind of demand. So I have no sympathy for her complaining that she's not a bigger star after cutting her own legs off like that. If I'm making a movie and I ask her to come in and read and she replies "I'm Monique, I don't audition" then I'm going to assume she has a huge ego and not want to fukk with her.

Yeah, she's been blaming the same people for her career stalling for OVER 10 years now. Odd that anybody bought into whatever retread of the story she said to Sharpe. But on this forum, people believe and run with what they want to, nevermind the facts.

Oscar is not a guarantee of anything. Can give you more leverage moving forward, but working actors take the roles they are offered or audition for. Until you move the needle in terms of box office receipts, you are a working actor.
