yea they optioned him to Triple A in Sac Town if I remember correctly when they activated Seth Smith and got Steve Drew from the D'Back.. I had high hopes for him, but he wasn't able to get on base much this season. I'm surprised he got optioned, plus his brother is Rickie too. But, he is still young as hell though. There's no cism with the A's. It's the moneyball system.

He was brought back up in September when the rosters expanded. He was sent down late in the season when they got Drew because he wasn't hitting and they wanted him to change his approach. He would have been on the bench for those games if he hadn't been sent down.
