This is the NBA. No rookie EVER turns down that first extension if they are getting maxed out, especially one with an injury history like Cade. That nikka ain't playing on no 1 year contract. He would be straight up pouring Jelly on his self if he didn't sign , to take it back The pattern is always sign the extension then bytch your way out with 1or 2 years left on that 2nd contract. Cade was never about to go anywhere else this early unless the team didn't want him back.

It is what it is, we needed veteran wings that can take and make shots and we got two. Now its on the young guys to improve and we should be on the road back to being an actually team.

Two year deal is perfect and we needed a PF, and we needed to spend the money on a useful player and not Joe Harris/Nerlens Noel. He will be a great trade piece next year
