Draft two weeks away. Langdon still hasn’t been introduced and Monty fate still in the air. What are they doing?

Yeah, this is wild. They must be keeping him or they know who the replacement coach will be but need to buy out Monty first.
Regardless, it shouldn't take this long.

Why would he? I had no expectation they’d fire him. He will be around when they turn this around. He’s getting paid too much to fire.
Me personally I think Ja'kobe Walter from Baylor is gonna have a good career, nice shot and he's adept at getting to the rim and finishing. Mock drafts have the pistons taking Matas Bazelis, I'm not sold on that kid, I would love to trade back and draft Ja'kobe
Hardest part of this draft is we won't know where anyone is being drafted until it happens, the mock drafts are all over the place.

Now that I thought about it.
It took a bit.
Yet the pistons should have brought in cp3 for Williams.
First rhen seen if it worked out. Then if no improvement find Williams.
Like Williams even though I do. Ot like him as a coach. I would have tried to see if I could have fixed this instead of paying his contract out.
At least another half season with a principle to his success present.
Not sure if cp3 and him get along.
Yet I would have tried this first instead of giv8ng him the axe.
While still paying his contract out.
The pistons have some type of fo rapport with the warriors. As the warriors moved Wiseman to Detroit.

Sounds like they'll be patient. No desperate hail mary moves to get better instantly.
They pretty much lost two years of development. Cade missing majority of sophomore year and Monty sabotaging entire team this year
Just run it back with young core. Don’t sell low on Ivey, Ausar, Duran, and 5th pick. Ivey and Cade should be able to play with each other in theory. Duran or Ausar can still be developed in bench roles. Because they can’t play them both at same time. Sign vets that can actually still play. No more Joe Harris like acquisitions. No more reclamation projects

I hope this shooting coach is as advertised because if he can develop Ausar into just a slightly above average shooter

According to Edwards, Pistons are high on Salune if trading down.
Im fine with Saluane or Buzelis. High upside PF that can potentially become shooter is probably biggest hole on roster. This shooting coach gonna have to work wonders with these guys
Dont want Knect at all. Best case scenario he’s a new Bogdonavic. A bucket with no defense. Clingan id be meh on. They desperately need rim protection but they better have a deal involving Duren ready if your drafting another young center. Not sure about Sheppherd long term ceiling being so small and not a great athlete. Could live with Cody Williams and Ron Holland

Next season will likely get it's own thread. Money Williams is part of franchise history for better or worse.

Tobias on a 2-3 year deal until a Buzelis/Saluen are ready isn’t bad idea. He’d be the adult in the room this team desperately needs
