It’s his 3rdyear and he hasn’t made the leap.

Jalen Green has.

It’s time to admit that Cade has a lower ceiling than everybody hoped and that ceiling is neither helping or hurting this team overall, it’s just keeps the status quo.
Man neither nobody in the top 5 of that 2021 draft can be depended on to carry a franchise. Based off of that none of them really met their ceiling. The closet is Mobley because of his defense but he ain’t it either. I’d still rather have Green over the others based off potential but potential gets you fired.

so wouldn’t that make a case for another 3rd year player that progressed and made his team better? Houston is better now because of rookies developing, the vets aren’t really much help cause Fred’s having his worst shooting year and Dillon brooks scoring dropped drastically since October (18-13.7 currently)

Pistons need better leadership and focus on player development. No one is comin here from free agency so gotta make do with what’s working. Ausar has gotten much better since the minutes increase so why not do the same with Ivey?
Man FVV is the biggest difference maker. Have you watch Hosuton games. Hes an elite floor general . You can’t watch his stats and try to judge his impact. He shot terrible against New Orleans but ultimately won us the game when we down 6 in the final minutes. His assist to turnover ratio is elite and he gets the offense into its sets quickly. He’s telling/pointing at dudes to where they need to be at on the floor. He told Sengun to get in the corner last night when Jalen Green had the ball and drove into the paint to feed Alpi for the baseline dunk at the end of the game. Fvv pointed for Alpi to get in that corner when he was about to go to the top to set a pick for Green. Rockets play at the slowest pace in the league but are one of the most net efficient in the league. FVV sets the tune on both sides of the court. He’s easily been worth the contract. He’s the only only pg we have on the roster

No bullshyt, probably the most overhyped draft of the last decade, close to all-time.

The 2022 draft are almost closer to who everyone thought the 2021 players would be.

Pistons FO and fans will eventually have to realize he is more of a 2nd option than 1st.

Need to tank for Cooper Flagg, Cameron Boozer, Aj Dybantsa, or the next hyped foreigner.

lol its one game but i feel you. Fred does that and did the same in toronto- he can help lead by example and be an invested veteran

somone like Joe Harris has experience helping lead a team in brooklyn (pre-KD and Kyrie) or a vet like Bogdanivic could help give the pistons better leadership but both them arent as vocal as a Fred Vanvleet.

but my point is still that on the scoring end, the young core is whats getting it done for Houston to a degree.

I think all the pistons vets been out with injury but when they were playing they looked like a better team than what they were showing right now. But I agree I do think our draftees have been better. Sengun has been better than anybody on the Pistons drafted and Cade and green have basically cancelled each other out. I think jabari and Tari been better than Duren and Ivey easily.

yeah i dont catch A WHOLE LOT of Rockets basketball but ever since Cade was drafted ive kept an eye out on Green to see whos the better player (partially cause of a bet with a friend too lol)

But Sengun ive noticed progressed even more since last year and is a bit more mobile and can kinda shoot a mid range. I think Duren can be that with time

Duren seems highly limited on offense

Lavine on block. If Monty doesn’t view Ivey and Cade working why not swing a trade for Lavine? Pistons beed a go to scorer. Someone to take pressure off Cade. Bulls aren’t going to get a better prospect than Ivey. A Ivey, Harris, Wiseman deal could work. They get Ivey and 2 expirings.

At some point Weaver has to make a move. Cant keep trotting out same lineup full of kids expecting to win in NBA. They need a grownup at the table that can actually play at an elite level. Boggy and Morris are missed but they are complementary players. Lavine can still be an all star.

Fan interest has already faded. That philly game attendance was a joke

Lavine doesn't work for their age timeline
