That's true, don't get me wrong, I like "chasing championships" storylines and even a "i gotta support my family" storyline but the problem is that's almost everyone's character right now.

Exactly mate, all storylines amount to these days is "I want the title to prove I'm the best"
That works for boxing and MMA because it's legitimate competition, there's real stakes involved, WWE is a scripted tv show and needs more of a story to get people invested.
Might be time to introduce a new gimmick match into this Nakamura/AJ feud. A Low Blow stipulation match, the one with the most low blows after a 20 minute time limit wins. Of course Road Dogg being Road Dogg, they'll land a double low blow with 5 seconds left and it'll end in a draw.
