Nah they both have legitimate reasons. They were both the 2 biggest stars in NXT, who got pushed aside for 2 people who were nowhere near as popular as them.
I never said Sasha didn't have a good reason. I'm just saying it's easier to understand Bayley's rationale.
- Her and Sasha get the tag belts, make their big announcement about how they are going to do everything they can to make the titles matter and that those belts represent a piece of everything they worked for.
- Those titles are ripped from them in a curtain-jerker match where the big story is honestly that Beth Phoenix returning to action, not the belts. They watch their "life's work" lose prestige.
- Sasha walks out. Bayley does the Bayley thing and tries to soldier on despite her best friend going through some shyt over it.
- Bayley wins the SD women's title. She is immediately yanked from her brand, forced to defend against Raw women and basically be second fiddle to the dominant personalities over there. Meanwhile, she openly complains about how she is SMACKDOWN'S champion and thus should be defending against SMACKDOWN women, particularly those who haven't had the chance to get their turn. Outside of Ember Moon, this doesn't happen. This is yet another direct obstacle to Bayley trying to forge her own legacy and have her moment in the spotlight (which isn't a thing she's accustomed to) and do right by a title and division, which she didn't get a chance to do when they had the women's tags.
- Of course, when a SD woman is back up to bat, it's the one woman who gets EVERY opportunity (Charlotte). This does nothing for Bayley's goals as champion.
- Every time she turns around, they start asking her about Sasha. Bayley takes the high road, says what Sasha does is Sasha's business, but "she's bestie so I'm not interfering." They keep on asking. No one's asking about Bayley. She got tired of the bullshyt. Bayley's already demonstrated at various turns that she's got a$$hole tendencies in her if you push hard enough. They pushed hard enough.
