WWE always hypes SummerSlam up as "our SECOND biggest show of the year" behind Mania, but in reality it's always been The Royal Rumble is the second biggest show. hell, they even go to MLB stadiums for the Rumble with 40,000-50,000 people. SummerSlam has always been (other than in 1992 in England), in smaller 15,000-20,000 seat arenas just like a random episode of Monday Night Raw.

hopefully with it being in the "fight capital of the world" Las Vegas, and being in an NFL stadium... they stack the card and make it a massive event. not just another B-Level PPV like it has felt for the better part of the last decade.

But Vince never stroke as a guy that lets social media influence his judgement of what he wants to do with his product.
